At the start of August, we were kindly donated a defibrillator and housing unit by Taylor Wimpey plc, North Midlands Region who we have worked closely with since 1979.
The donation of this defibrillator has allowed us to give back to the local community which we have been a part of since the move to our current head office, back in 1980.
On the 9th September, we welcomed members of the local community and handed over the defibrillator to the general public. The defibrillator is available 24/7, with no restrictions, but accessed through the emergency services following 999 calls.
As part of the handover, we have pledged to provide complimentary training to those within a short radius of our head office. Training will be provided where requested, and will outline basic CPR procedures as well as awareness with the use of a defibrillator. Information regarding the training can be found by contacting our head office on 01902 420920 opt 3 or emailing [email protected] to speak to Rachael Spence and Wendy Monks.
Although we hope that the defibrillator is not needed, it is there if required. A huge thank you to Michelle Hill and Sean Ridley for their help with this project.
